Will I ride the same horse every lesson?

Horses are matched with riders based on the student's ability level and the horse's temperament. For the most part, until a rider advances, they will ride the same horse.

Where do your horses come from?

Each of our horses is a rescue. They are here to live out their lives and come from a variety of backgrounds, from retired racehorses to Amish buggy horses.

Can I ride different horses?

We have a few beginner-level horses and will alternate as needed. Students are given the opportunity and encouraged to get to know all our lesson horses as each horse can teach us something new.

Are they safe?

We understand some people are nervous around them. They are large animals and communicate differently than pets. Horseback riding involves specific risks, and we make every effort to meet them. Our horses are well-trained and experienced lesson horses. We also offer an extensive safety and horsemanship class that all riders are required to take before lessons.
